Apache

Apache HTTP Server (Apache Lounge builds) is a robust, reliable web server option in Kythia Workspace.

Installing

Section titled “Installing”
  1. Go to Web Server -> Apache
  2. Select a version and click Install
  3. Kythia downloads the official Windows binary from Apache Lounge automatically.

Starting / Stopping

Use the Start / Stop buttons in the Apache panel. The default port is 80, but can be customized in Kythia’s Global Settings.

Configuration

Apache configuration files are stored at:

C:\kythia\bin\apache\{version}\conf\

The main configuration file is httpd.conf. Kythia manages this file and patches it automatically on each start to set the correct listening port and Document Root based on your workspace settings.

Logs

Section titled “Logs”

Log files are extremely useful for debugging. They are located at:

C:\kythia\bin\apache\{version}\logs\

You can also view the logs directly via the Logs button in the Kythia UI.
