Go

Kythia Workspace provides an automated, seamlessly integrated Go environment without the need for manual system configurations.

Installing

Section titled “Installing”
  1. Go to Runtimes -> Go
  2. Select your desired version from the dropdown menu and click Install
  3. Kythia will download the official Go binaries directly to your local environment.

Environment & PATH

Kythia automatically manages the system environment for you. When you activate a specific version of Go via the UI, Kythia injects its executable directory directly into your current terminal session’s PATH.

This means you can immediately open a terminal within Kythia and run the standard commands (like go, gofmt) without conflicts or having to restart your computer.

Installation Directory

Your installed Go versions are stored safely at:

C:\kythia\runtimes\go\{version}\

Version Management

Section titled “Version Management”

You can install multiple versions of Go simultaneously. The Kythia UI allows you to instantly hot-swap between versions for your current workspace session. Simply click the dropdown menu on the Go panel, choose a different version, and your terminal environment will update dynamically!
